George A. Frederick II


 

As of January 2024 MCI has another new face in the Warden’s Office, George A. Frederick II.

Warden Frederick started his corrections career at Madison Correctional Institution in 1995.  He rose through the ranks while working at Trumbull Correctional, Toledo Correctional, Ohio State Penitentiary, Franklin Pre-Release, Ohio Reformatory for Women, Correctional Reception Center, with a brief stint with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.  After serving as a Regional Security Administrator, Mr. Frederick was appointed to Marion Correctional, which is his second DRC Warden position.

Harold May

 


As of June 2022 MCI has a new face in the Warden’s Office, Harold May.

 

Warden May grew up in Bucyrus, and after serving in the Marine Corps started his corrections career in 1999.  Starting at the Mansfield Correctional Institution as a Corrections Officer, he rose through the ranks.  With experience in the positions of Sargent, Major, and Deputy Warden, he has also served as Warden for the Richland, Toledo, and Noble Correctional Institutions.

Leon Hill

As of May 2021, Marion Correctional has a new face in the Warden’s Office, Leon Hill. 
Warden Hill attended Southern State Community College and Franklin University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Correctional Administration. 
 
Warden Hill began his DRC career as a Lieutenant in 1999, moving to the position of Operations Administrator with the Department of Youth Services in 2004.  Returning to DRC in 2007, he held the positions of Captain, Labor Relations Manager, and Major before being named the Deputy Warden of Operations at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville in 2015.
 
Warden Hill replaced Lynneal Wainright, who moved to a position in the DRC Office of Reentry.
