Margaret Beightler was the sixth Warden at MCI, having started her career at ORW. Mrs. Beightler retired in March 2011.

Christine Money was the fifth Warden at MCI. After enjoying a distinguished career in DRC, she shifted her focus to DYS.

Shirley Rogers was MCI's fourth Warden, taking the reins from Norris McMackin.

Norris McMackin was our third Warden, taking over from E.P. Perini in April 1985. Mr. McMackin later transferred to lead the Southeast Correctional Institution.

E.P. Perini was our second Warden. Having assumed the position in the 1960's, Pete became a member of the Central Office staff in 1985 prior to his retirement.

Our first Warden was Lamoyne Green, here seen in a photo of the Administrative staff members. (The full photo can be seen on our slide show.)

We've been attempting to post photos of MCI's Wardens for some time. Since the facility opened in 1954 there have only been six Wardens. But finding photos of the early history has been difficult. So has been organizing this section to properly display the photo beside the description. For this reason each has received a separate post. As additional information is received on the history of each, it will be added.

Starting with the first Warden, then titled Superintendent, the following oversaw the operations of Marion Correctional Institution:

Lamoyne Green

E.P. Perini.

Norris McMackin.

Shirley Rogers.

Christine Money.

Margaret Beightler.
